The Big Bike Revival is back in Macclesfield. Free support to help adults cycle locally. Through 10 events, you can learn to ride and get help to improve your cycling, get a Free bike MOT, join a short ride and explore local routes and learn to maintain your bike.
Sessions are run locally by experienced and qualified volunteers, instructors, mechanics and passionate cyclists. Support is free and dip in and out as required for a quick one off session or a longer series.
eLOV Community will be organising four types of events:
LEARN TO RIDE
These are sessions aimed at adults who never learned to ride as a child, people who feel nervous about cycling, anyone returning to cycling after a break and riders looking to improve road skills and confidence
RIDE
These are short, local rides, and you can go at your own pace. There’s time to stop, take a break, and enjoy a chat. It’s as much about connection and confidence as it is about distance.
FIX
These are events for adults to bring their bike not matter what condition for a mechanic to identify common issues, carry out basic repairs and adjustments, offer tips on looking after your bike and let you know if anything else needs attention
LEARN TO FIX
Whether you’ve never touched a tyre pump or want to feel more confident maintaining your bike, these bike maintenance sessions are designed to help you gain practical skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The events run between now and October 2026. Bikes / helmets are available to borrow for participants and all events will have refreshments.
